Andrew “ZP” Rush has a talent for presenting his analysis. While in school, Rush flexed this talent on his path to a law degree. In his off hours, Rush applied the same critical thinking to games and their competitive expressions.
Career options in the esports world were limited in the early days of Starcraft, Tribes, and Warcraft 3, but at the advent of live streaming on Twitch, new opportunities appeared. Rush began streaming, soon reaching audiences of over 2000 at once on his personal channel where he played Heroes of the Storm. It was on Twitch that Rush developed his ability to address these large audiences, to break down the game for them, and to entertain the way his favorite commentators did for traditional sports.
When Overwatch launched, Rush was one of the earliest voices on the scene, offering his casting and analysis to the burgeoning esport. As Overwatch grew, Rush grew with it, first as a voice for the community and fan-favorite in the grass-roots scene, and now, as a face of the official Activision-Blizzard Overwatch League.
