Onset
Mark “Onset” Hatcher has experienced the full spectrum of esports participation, from lugging his own TV and console to a remote North England village in hopes of competing, to acting as producer for a multi-million dollar esports event. As such, Hatcher has a deep appreciation for every effort that goes into making a successful esports broadcast. Hatcher also has a competitive nature that drives him to improve his craft, his in-game skills, and his productions.
As a player, Hatcher played Halo 2 competitively at Major League Gaming events. Inspired by a caster’s ability to create memorable moments, for players and for fans, Hatcher took up the microphone in Halo 5, FIFA, and APEX Legends, earning himself a prestigious spot on the Grand Finals casting team in each title. Most memorable for Hatcher were the Halo World Championships in 2018, not just because he gave voice to the thrilling final games, but because he did so alongside a dear friend in an electric, fan-filled stadium. Hatcher’s participation in all three scenes is ongoing, and he appears regularly as a commentator for the Halo Championship Series.
In the last year, Hatcher has also brought his talents to Call of Duty and Fortnite, and is excited for future challenges.
